Cleanse Me

Have mercy upon me, O God,

According to thy lovingkindness:

According unto the multitude of thy tender mercies

Blot out my transgressions.

Verse 1

Lord, extend Your Mercies unto me.

For I am always in need!

Oh, how I do fall short.

It is of the LORD’S mercies

That we are not consumed,

Because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning:

great is thy faithfulness

Lamentations 3:22-23

Your Mercies are new every morning!

Thank You, Jesus!

Cleanse Me

Wash me throughly from mine iniquity,

And cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions:

And my sin is ever before me.

Verse 2-3

Lord Jesus

My sin is ever before me.

Day and night

I recognize how I miss the Mark.

I acknowledge my faults and failures.

The Lord’s Compassion is greatly appreciated.

Your Divine Nature

Is my Desire!

Cleanse Me

Against thee,

Thee only,

Have I sinned,

And done this evil in thy sight:

That thou mightest be justified when thou speakest,

And be clear when thou judgest.

Verse 4

I sin in Thy Sight.

It is You in which I fall short.

Convict me of that which displeases You.

Speak. Correct. Even Discipline.

Cleanse Me

Behold, I was shapen in iniquity;

And in sin did my mother conceive me.

Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts:

And in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Verse 5-6

Each of us is born in that sinful nature.

Yet, You Desire Truth!

May Truth radiate from my innermost being!

Make me to Know Your Wisdom.

Help me to do that which is right in Your Sight.

You are the One in which I am to Please!

Cleanse Me

Purge me with hyssop,

And I shall be clean:

Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

Verse7

Only You can make me whiter than snow!

Your Blood cleanseth me from all unrighteousness.

Praise Jesus!

I am thankful for the Blood of Jesus!

Cleanse Me

Make me to hear joy and gladness;

That the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.

Verse 8

Joy and gladness are mine once again!

I rejoice at Your lovingkindness!

Toward me is Your Faithful Forgiveness.

Cleanse Me

Hide thy face from my sins,

And blot out all mine iniquities.

Verse 9

Blot Out!

Remove our sins!

For as the heaven is high above the earth,

So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

As far as the east is from the west,

So far hath he removed our transgressions from us

Psalm 103:11-12

Let my sin be forever removed!

I am thankful that You hold it not against me!

Cleanse Me

Create in me a clean heart, O God;

And renew a right spirit within me.

Verse 10

Produce a clean heart in me.

Renew within me a right spirit.

For I am unable to do these things in and of  myself.

I need You, Jesus!

Cleanse Me

Cast me not away from thy presence;

And take not thy holy spirit from me.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;

And uphold me with thy free spirit.

Verse 11-12

P-L-E-A-S-E

Do not leave me!

Cast me not away!

Restore! Wholly!

Uphold me!

Restore my Joy once again.

Cleanse Me

Then will I teach transgressors thy ways;

And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

Verse 13

I will speak of Your Goodness.

The world will know of You!

Your Good Ways will I tell others!

They will come to know You!

Cleanse Me

Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God,

Thou God of my salvation:

And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

O Lord, open thou my lips;

And my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.

Verses 14-15

I do give You all praise, honor, and glory!

My tongue will sing aloud!

I will proclaim the Goodness of God!

Cleanse Me

For thou desirest not sacrifice;

Else would I give it:

Thou delightest not in burnt offering.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:

A broken and a contrite heart, O God,

Thou wilt not despise.

Verses 16-17

You look not for sacrifices of animals.

I beseech you therefore,

Brethren,

By the mercies of God,

That ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,

Holy, acceptable unto God,

Which is your reasonable service

Romans 12:1

My spirit broken.

A sorrowful heart.

Repentance!

True and right.

This is what You seek of me.

Cleanse Me

Search me, O God,

And know my heart:

Try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me,

And lead me in the way everlasting

Psalm 139:23-24
