Language of Tears

In the last few days

I cannot come to the Lord

Without being overcome with the

Language of Tears!

Such Anguish!

A breaking of my inner man☹

Empty of self!

In the beginning

It was very deep!

I experienced loneliness.

Loneliness seems odd.

But in death

We leave off the person we know.

Abandonment

Met me in that place of prayer!

My Lord reminded me

That to be His disciple

I must suffer some things as He did.

 Language of Tears

As we Walk with the Almighty

Loneliness will come

Seemingly at odd times.

Jesus faced loneliness.

In the Wilderness

While in preparation for ministry

He dealt with true loneliness.

We know that during His ministry

Jesus often went alone

For long seasons to pray.

In His Darkest Hour…

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane,

And he said to his disciples,

“Sit here, while I go over there and pray.”

(You don’t need to be in the Struggle with Me,

But can you be near to Me?)

And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee,

He began to be sorrowful and troubled.

Then he said to them,

“My soul is very sorrowful, even to death;

Remain here, and watch with me.”

Matthew 26:36-38 ESV

Yet even those in the inner circle

Drawn into His Sorrow

Were not found faithful to the end.

And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping.

And he said to Peter,

“So, could you not watch with me one hour?

Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation.

The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Again, for the second time, he went away and prayed,

“My Father, if this cannot pass unless I drink it, your will be done.”

And again he came and found them sleeping,

For their eyes were heavy.

Matthew 26:40-43 ESV

Through His time of prayer

Man was not supportive

But The Father heard His Cry!

Yet even on the Cross…

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice,

Saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” that is,

“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

Matthew 27:45-46 ESV

Not simply Alone☹

But Abandoned!

Not only by man

But by The Almighty Father!

Language of Tears

We know that to truly be His disciples

We must die daily!

How often do we resist?

We fight against the crucifixion.

If only we would understand

The more I embrace the spiritual loneliness

Of dying to the old man…

Embrace the abandonment to self…

 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart,

O God, you will not despise.

Psalms 51:17 ESV

There came a point and time

When Jesus said in the Garden

“Not my Will, but Thine be done.”

It is not simply that I pray

Let me die daily.

I must allow His Will…

His Process!

For my full death.

Because I cannot fully

Live in the Spirit

Until I am completely dead to me!

And only The Almighty Knows.

I beseech you therefore, brethren,

By the mercies of God,

That ye present your bodies a living sacrifice,

Holy, acceptable unto God,

Which is your reasonable service

Romans 12:1 KJV

This is reasonable, my friends!

Sacrifice, if we have forgotten

Means Death!

Jesus was God robed in flesh

And yet…

In the Garden

“If it be possible…”

He had a voice

Trying to talk him out of His Destiny!

Out of “OUR” Destiny!

Voices come.

Don’t they?

Voices of the world, the demons,

And. Yes. Our flesh.

However.

The grave hears no voices.

When we are truly dead to self

We will be raised in newness of life!

We will hear and know

His Voice!

The more we embrace death

We will gain New Strength

To yield to Glory to glory!

But we all,

With open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,

Are changed into the same image

From glory to glory,

Even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:18

Language of Tears

My Lord, My King

Thank You for the tears

that come from the breaking of this inner man!

Thank You for the opportunity

To embrace death to my flesh

That I can Live in the Spirit!

I come as a living sacrifice

Holy and acceptable

Unto You!

It is a Privilege I don’t take lightly.

I embrace the loneliness

That comes through this journey

That I must walk alone.

With Your Help and Strength

I embrace the abandonment to self

That I may become more like You!

Abandoning my old man

Day in, day out.

This vessel is at home with the Process

That You have chosen for me

To go from glory to glory!

In Jesus Name

Amen!
