A Sacrificial Trust

A Sacrificial Trust

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,
whose trust is the LORD.
8 He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

A lone tree stands in calm, shallow water.

A Sacrificial Trust

I have not spoken of it much

But over the last three years

The Lord has taken me on a Journey!

A time of testing, trial, teaching

A Sacrificial Trust

Unknown, unexplained health scares.

Relationships tested and tried.

Entrusting those I love,

Watching them go through serious difficulties…

Knowing I must leave them to God.

Learning skills I would rather someone else tended to.

Loneliness, abandonment, and then😉

The desire to hide😉

And so much more!

In the beginning things came

One at a time

Manageable

With breathing space in between.

Over time the “lessons”

Both great and small

Gained momentum

Until it was every week

Then every day

Then multiply things at a time.

Life you say!

Like bunches of bananas.

True.

But while things were happening out in the open

Where others could see (and try to understand)

There were things taking place in the spirit realm

In which I became quite aware of.

Things that even if I did mention them here

You might think it is dramatic.

Layers came.

Natural. Mental. Emotional. Spiritual.

Every day…week…

I found the Lord teaching me something new

Hewing skills I was missing…

Even some I thought I already had😉

And though this has been a serious…

Very personal

Journey!

There are some lessons everyone would benefit from.

Things I see many of God’s children struggle with.

A Sacrificial Trust

First

We all ought to learn how to

Respond!

Instead of react.

Reacting is what comes from our flesh

Or even sometimes from the enemy

But mostly out of our carnal emotions.

(Remember Philippians 4:8 tell us to mind what we think.)

I am NOT speaking of shutting off emotions.

I am reminding us to filter ALL our emotions

Through the Holy Ghost, prayer, and the Word

BEFORE we “respond”.

For example…

Oppression/depression comes with intercession.

We, intercessors, must not let the first signal of depression

Cause us to go into panic mode😉

But seek the Lord as to what/who

And what are we to do or more likely

How are we to pray?

Fight or flight is likely going to try to kick in

Especially if we have gone through some dark valleys.

“I am not going to be able to be independent anymore.”

“Everyone is going to leave. I will be alone.”

“I don’t want them to go down a very dark road.”

Well first and foremost I can say

I have had those thoughts

But now it is different!

Because the most crucial lesson

Is taking DEEP Root within and that is…

A Sacrificial Trust

God is Large and He is in Charge.

He has you and me in His Hands.

He knows the way that I take.

He is ALL I need.

He’s got this! Whatever it may be.

He loved my children and grands before I ever knew them.

I have a Place in His Kingdom😊

And He Knows how to get me into that Place!

So, if my health brings me low

He already Knew!

If everyone deserts me

He Knows

And HE will never leave nor forsake me.

He will Help me with the skills I need

For life and ministry.

If we pray prayers that seem lost in the atmosphere

He Knows Best!

Keep praying for loved ones

But don’t “put all your eggs in one basket”

Move on!

Pray those Kingdom Prayers!

Beyond you and me.

Beyond our little world.

Trust me.

I have watched loved ones…

And I get ‘stuck’ there too.

We simply need

A Sacrificial Trust

In the One True Loving God

That does All things well.

Who works all things out for good for His Purpose!

Friends. Note.

I didn’t say it was easy.

Nor did I say that I have mastered it.

But we will be “anxious for nothing”

When we truly pray and TRUST.

The Almighty can trust us with BIG Prayers

When we Trust Him with what is really😉

A “small” prayer to Him!

A Sacrificial Trust

Trust is more than faith.

Trust is letting the Lord guide me

Through the darkest valley

In the worse storm

Without knowing…

How long will this last?

Where are we going?

Can I quit now? 😉

Join me in prayer…

Lord, we ask for Your Help

That we would learn to

Trust You Sacrificially

Without question, doubt, or fear.

In Jesus Name. Amen.
